major looser of Europe's biggest economies

The OECD sees German gross domestic product shrinking by some 5.3 percent this
year. Its public sector deficit would swell to 6.8 percent of GDP, exports of goods and services
will decline by 16.5 percent. Unemployment may pass the 5 million level in 2010.

The OECD forecast is
not the bleakest. Commerzbank forecasted that German economy was likely to contract by between six and seven percent this year.
