New York - Bernard Madoff, the 71-year-old Jewish swindler, was sentenced on Monday to 150 years in jail. Madoff's wife Ruth made a deal with federal prosecutors to sell most of the couple's assets, but to let her keep $2.5 million. Ruth Madoff and the couple's sons Andrew and Mark, who were closely involved in Madoff's business affairs, had denied any knowledge of the fraud.
