Israel’s ambassador in London, Ron Prosor (photo -
right), recently said: "Every journalist who refers to us as
'war criminals' or anything else deemed offensive by
us, needs to know that the next day his newspaper will be slapped
in each and every country with a million pound lawsuit on behalf of the State of
Israel. If the Jewish people have one reservoir that will never run out, it’s
lawyers."
Newspapers don’t like lawsuits. It takes time, it costs money, the paper’s insurance company raises their premium, stockholders are wondering why they got into this mess to begin with, and the editor in chief is infuriated.
