Zionist
regime a profoundly evil faction

Dubai - Israeli Mossad is a strong suspect in the killing of
the top militant of the Palestinian representative Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh (above) in his Dubai hotel
room on January 20. He was electrocuted and strangled. Israel has killed dozens of leaders and military figures
of Hamas, founded two decades ago as a religious resistance movement against Israeli
occupation.
In
particular, Al-Mabhouh's murder evokes the case of the failed Mossad assassination
of Khalid Mishal (middle), when a Mossad hit team posing as Canadian tourists,
tried to murder that Hamas leader in 1997, in Amman, Jordan. They got dangerously close to Mishal - enough to inject a poison behind his ear - but one assailant was chased down and overpowered by Mishal's
bodyguard. A furious King Hussein phoned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
(below), then in his first prime ministership, and demanded the antidote be delivered. Embarrassed and under U.S. pressure, Netanyahu agreed, saving the life of
Mishal. Now again Prime Minister in 2010, Netanyahu is not afraid to send intelligence operatives into a friendly Arab guests
home.
The Palestinian Hamas and Iran accused Israel of being behind the killing in Dubai, branding the murder
state terrorism: "This is another sign indicating the existence of state terrorism of the Zionist regime
and shows the violation of the sovereignty of other countries by this
regime." They termed the Jewish state as a profoundly evil faction.
Al-Mabhuh, 50 years, had been living Jabalia refugee camp, north Gaza, before Israel banished him to Lebanon in 1989.
Mabhuh was behind the capture of two Israeli soldiers in 1989. Also Dubai's police chief said on Sunday that Israel's Mossad may have been behind the
murder. A criminal gang had been following the victim's movements before his arrival in the United Arab Emirates.
Most of the suspects had European passports and left the country after the
killing.
Mabhuh was in Dubai to buy weapons for Hamas. Hamas held a grand funeral ceremony for Al-Mabhuh in Al-Yarmouk Palestinian refugee camp, Damascus, with thousands of Hamas members and supporters
participating.
