Munich - Speaking at
the 'Munich security conference' on Friday night, Iran's Foreign Minister
Manouchehr Mottaki reiterated comments made in a live televised address
earlier this week by Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that Iran sees a
uranium fuel swap deal as beling likely. Mottaki further discussed the
deal with the UN atomic energy agency (IAEA) director, Yukiya Amano. China
does not plan to support new sanctions on Iran. The western Countries
decided to agree to additional economic sanctions
.
China
is likely to replace India in the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project. New Delhi pulled out from the project under Washington's pressure.
