- The 16 finance ministers of the 'eurozone' have agreed a multibillion-euro bailout for Greece.
The aid could rise to up to €55bn by the end of the
year, the FRG taxpayer bearing the major part of the
rescue package. FRG finance minister Wolfgang Schäuble has played the pivotal role in organising the
bailout. The agreement will not involve any contribution from the UK.
