Afghanistan - On Friday, the
FRG military killed six Afghan troops in northern Kunduz
province, and five Afghans were wounded.

Three
FRG soldiers had been killed, and eight were wounded, when
FRG forces on a bridge-building and mine-clearing mission were ambushed by around 200 Taliban
fighters. When FRG reinforcements went to assist their comrades they encountered two vehicles on the road.
A FRG tank opened fire only to discover that Afghan soldiers had been inside them.

FRG is the third-largest Nato contributor to the war with some 4,300 troops in
Afghanistan. Another 850 extra troops are now being sent to Afghanistan.
39 FRG soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan since
2002 and another 146 wounded.
