An Irish aid boat, the MV Rachel Corrie, steaming towards Gaza still plans to break the Israeli
blockade, with Irish Nobel Peace Prize laureate Máiread Corrigan-Maguire
on board.
"We will sit down," she told in a telephone interview from the ship. "They will probably arrest us ... But there will be no resistance."
The MV Rachel Corrie, which was named after a 23-year-old American killed in Gaza in 2003
,
should be within 40 kilometres of the coast of the Palestinian territory by early
Saturday. Israel is determined to stop the ship.
